Here Comes The Apps For Girls Launch
A few days ago we launched our new iPhone app, Apps for Girls. The idea behind it is that young kids can easily navigate the app on their own, while parents will feel comfortable letting their kids choose the app they would like to install.
Being the father of 3 girls ranging from ages 2 to 10, I’m always on the lookout for apps my daughters will enjoy, but I’m also very cautious about what they choose to download. I’m sure I’m not the only one in that situation, and judging by the initial response of the app, I might be right.
Developed by the insanely talented Itai Alter, Apps For Girls takes a step towards solving the app discovery challenge for parents. By working with app-savvy parents, Apps For Girls hand-picks apps from various categories such as educational, books, games, style, and more, to offer the perfect balance of learning and entertainment.
So what exactly are our users downloading with the app? Here’s a quick look at the first day’s stats. Looks like Style Studio : Fashion Designer Lite is killing it via Apps for Girls.
Apps for Girls is free and will remain free. To monetize the app, we’ve included Apple’s affiliate program. That being said, we’ll always include a healthy dose of free apps alongside paid apps to make sure we’re presenting great apps, regardless of their price.
Turning it back over to you. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, grab it from the App Store. We’ve also set up shop on Facebook, so hop on in and recommend apps you would like to see included!
