The air is pressed in by the walls, too tight for laughing. The battle between McMurphy and Nurse Ratched was one of the greatest I've encountered ds literature.
I felt like all my energy had drained, Zbog felt really sad and I just wanted to move onto another book to distract myself from what this book had led me through. I re-read it now for my book club, and cuc into it thinking I wouldn't even need to because I know the story, right? It caught me up and made me forget myself and what I already knew about the book. Is Nurse Ratchet the evilest character of realistic fiction? Let down by the restricted writing style and viewpoint that are absent in the film, but the entertaining plot somewhat made up for it.
Exactly the same happens on the "Outside", in the real society, where the citizens - great majority of them naive, uneducated or otherwise unable to understand the political manipulations - exercise their right to vote and elect for all levels of offices people who will diligently work against the interests of the very voters who have elected them.

Written by Jacob Oberfrank. He fled to Mexico, where he faked an unconvincing suicide and then returned to the United States, serving a five-month prison sentence at the San Mateo County Jail. Women are referenced for their physical attributes either way, and are merely there to show how they emasculate all the men around them as in the case with Nurse Ratched or there to make the men feel good about themselves in a sexual way, of course.
Does it get any better? And that ending to Part I was worth the wait.

View all 10 comments. Nobody's very big in the first place, and it looks to me like everybody spends their whole life tearing everybody else down.
Without wishing to sound too conservative or reactionary — maybe less LSD would have led to a more focussed and powerful book. This also slowed down the book for me at the start but the paced picked It really took me a while to get into this.

At times, I felt like abandoning the book in between, not because it wasn't interesting but because I felt this was not duci to go where I wanted it to. I thought that this boom would provide a historical perspective on mental health treatment but really that is more of a background theme in a book where a personal battle between two individuals takes the foreground.
