This seventh book in the series does not disappoint.
Healing the Highlander was a great addition to this series! While I enjoyed it very much, there were many references to past events that I missed and would have liked to know more about.

I was so glad to see that Andrew remained determined and strong throughout the book, and while he did battle his insecurities and challenges stemming from his injury, daugghters never let it get the best of him. However, daughtters he arrives he discovers Mairie isn't exactly what he imagined, having far more fire and self-reliance than he expected. Leah, complete with her own emotional scars, is rescued by Andrew from a loch and while she battles her own internal issues, we have the pleasure of seeing Leah's walls come down.
Mayhue makes you feel like you're being drawn into her books along with her characters. Soul of a Highlander Melissa Mayhue book reviews: I thought the daughgers was well written and I was eager to find out what would happen next.

Andrew MacAlister longs for a cure to free him from the excruciating pain caused by an old wound, but when he rescues a drowning woman, he has no idea how much his life is about to change. If you haven't read them all I would highly recommend this series. This is clearly not the first book in a series, but it's easy enough to pick up the story and follow the events after the first few chapters, which rather throw information at the reader.
A descendant of the Fae, Leah denies her heritage and her magical healing abilities. Meer lezen Minder lezen. I would strongly recommend reading these books in order since characters appear throughout the series and events that take place in previous books have an impact on things that happen in later ones for example; how modern day Leah ended up in the past 1.
But the issue is resolved in an acceptable manner, and I enjoyed my "happy ever after" romance even if Leah does act impulsively at times and doesn't use her wits! But the English army is holding her beloved adoptive grandfather captive, so Leah must seek help from the Fae—and the captivating man whose touch she craves.
They just slide into a fairly low-key romance, but the overall story is well-written, even if some of the 13th-century Scottish characters speak American English at times. I love how Ms. Je recente bestellingen traceren. This book has all the elements of a lighthearted Romance. That being said, I found this novel engaging with strong characters and an inventive plot.
And is his destiny somehow linked to Mairie's?

Modern day Leah, who we encountered in previous novels, is the subject of this book along with battered and scarred highlander Andrew MacAlister. I was pleasantly surprised to learn later that he was trying to find a cure for pain, and he stayed true to his family values.

When I first started to read about Andrew I feared that he'd end up being a angry bitter character for the entire book like most scarred heroes I've encountered. Soul of a Highlander was an enjoyable story set oc an interesting and difficult time, when medical treatments were basic, food was unappetizing, and lives were often violent and short.
Mairie decides to do something about this and speaks to the Fae Prince Pol to convince daughterx to right the ancient wrong of only daughters receiving his powers, then travels back in time to try to save Marsali. The hero and heroine were appealing and had good chemistry. Mayhue's previous books, I was drawn into the writing, the story and the characters.
